Our whole-person approach to wellness helps build healthy habits that you want to work on to improve your quality of life. For some folks, that might mean a greater focus on physical wellness. For others, it's opportunities to continue learning or teaching. Maintaining a sense of purpose and meaning in your days may also be a driving force. Our goal is to help you enjoy your retirement. We do that by taking a multidimensional approach to wellness, including your physical, social, emotional, intellectual, occupational, and spiritual well-being. At Grace Ridge, you’ll find numerous activities to engage mind, body, and spirit and you’ll be welcomed into clubs, programs, spiritual fellowship, volunteer opportunities, and more.

Membership

Through our affiliation with UNC Health Blue Ridge, Grace Ridge residents enjoy complimentary memberships to both Phifer Family YMCA and Mimosa Hills Golf & Country Club. The Donald Ross designed golf course is one of the finest walking courses around. Phifer Family YMCA, a 26,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art fitness center, offers dozens of weekly classes, plus a sauna, steam room, and heated indoor pool.

Ideal location to be

Active Outdoors

Our location is ideal for anyone who loves the outdoors. If you like to hike, there are scenic, walkable trails on the nearby Catawba River Greenway and Fonta Flora Trail. The latter circles Lake James, a pristine lake fed by three rivers. It's a good spot to cast a line or enjoy a day on the water. Our area is also ideal for growing grapes. You can visit three wineries within a 15-minute drive from our campus. Gardeners also like our long growing season for vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
