One of the keys to healthy aging is staying connected and engaged. At Grace Ridge, dozens of classes, clubs, social events, and volunteer activities make it easy to meet your neighbors and make new friends. Whatever your passions, you can continue doing them here. You'll also discover new interests and new adventures to enrich your life. Along with people who make you feel a part of our community from day one.
We welcome people of all faiths for weekly worship services in our chapel. Residents are also invited to join our Spiritual Life Committee and take part in weekly prayer and Bible study groups. Choral groups, meditation classes, volunteer opportunities, and taking time to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us help lift our spirits and deepen our faith.
Learning encourages the growth of new brain cells, stimulates the connections between them, and may lower your risk of Alzheimer's. Plus, it's a great way to meet new people. At Grace Ridge, you'll find plenty of opportunities to keep learning and growing. We offer classes in languages, literature, art, music, history, religion, and philosophy, to name a few. Learning any new skill has benefits, so whatever you think you'd enjoy is a good place to start.
We want you to feel secure in your new home at Grace Ridge. That's why every residence is equipped with an emergency call system. Additionally, you'll be given a pendant you can use anywhere on campus to notify us of an emergency. We also perform daily check-ins at your request. An added layer of protection is provided by our security guard who keeps a watchful eye on our community 24/7. When you travel, we'll also keep an eye on your residence so you don't have to worry about a thing while you're gone.
There are numerous ways to make a difference in people's lives at Grace Ridge. Assisted living residents appreciate the colorful flowers resident volunteers grow in the courtyard. Other resident volunteers make toys for children to brighten a hospital stay. We're also aligned with various nonprofits in the greater community. At The Outreach Center in Morganton, for example, Grace Ridge volunteers help distribute food each month to seniors in need.
